Dr. Gorczyca and Family
Dr. Ann Marie Gorczyca is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at the University of the Pacific Dental School and formerly at UCSF Dental School. She has received three teaching awards for her service to post-doctoral orthodontic education. She is a graduate of Wellesley College, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and Harvard School of Public Health. She completed her advanced orthodontic residency and received a Masters of Science in Oral Biology from Northwestern University. She has been dedicated to the practice of orthodontics for over 17 years.
Dr. Gorczyca enjoys gardening, tennis, hiking, cooking, classical music, travel, good friends, and spending time with her family.

Distinctions:
Dr. Gorczyca has received numerous teaching awards for service and excellence in education. These include the Excellence in Teaching Award, UCSF Dental School, 1993 and 1994, and the Richard Remmel Rutter Teaching Award, University of the Pacific Dental School, 1999.
Dr. Gorczyca received a Kellogg Fellowship to study Health Management and Policy at Harvard School of Public Health. She also received a National Public Health Service Award to conduct research at Northwestern and the University of California San Francisco. Her original research has resulted in publications and she is a frequent orthodontic lecturer.
Dr. Gorczyca has served as a member of the National Board Testing Committee for the American Dental Association. She is also a member of the Angle Society.
Dr. Gorczyca enjoys being part of her community in Antioch. She loves being principal for a day at Holy Rosary School.
Dr. Gorczyca has had a very exciting life. As a youth she was a concert pianist and flutist. She had the opportunity to be featured as a flute soloist on Young Artists Showcase, WQXR, in New York and also to play in Carnegie Hall as principal flutist with the MIT Symphony. After moving to California, she had the chance to play tennis for San Francisco City College with which she played in the Ojai Invitational, and won her team's division championship.
Dr. Gorczyca has served as a frequent guest at many Antioch area schools, including Holy Rosary, Deer Valley High School, Pittsburg High School, Jack London, John Muir, and Mno Grant where she has adopted a classroom. She is a devoted sponsor of many school events and the Antioch School District.
Dr. Gorczyca is married to Dr. Richard J. O'Donnell, Chief of Orthopedic Oncology at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. O'Donnell is also currently wearing braces.
